May 25th promo clip. In honor of Steph!:(

F@#$% amazing last show of the season.

Mama mia was it good. If you missed it…ya gonna have to wait til the fall! I, Marsha have finally fallen in love with MC. I had a ball with the great audience that came out on May 25th! It was so easy to MC such a great line up of performers. Coming back to the stage was the Italian theater group The Charltans and the IMPROV VerboVolante. Our stage once again was shocked by the great MS. Virgina with her washing machine example (I am not going to tell you anymore, because you have got to come to the show). How could we have a show with the ever dry regular performer MIchael Monkhouse that loves to push limits with his comedy? Rome’s Comedy Club’s newsest and most exciting finds, Ryan Costello (not only do you wanna squeeze his sweet face BUT god is he funny with his rants on living in Rome) and small and petite yet fiery, Kissy Dugan rocked that night!!!!

I am so please at how this project has grown and that we are still continuing on our fourth season!!!!! Not of this would be possible without the help of Stephanie Tyrrell who was the other founder of Rome’s Comedy Club. She is moving onto bigger and better things in the UK. We are sorry to see her leave but know that she will forever be a piece of this project!

Keep posted on our future shows. I am trying my darnest to find an outdoor space to have one show. I am also working on other exciting side projects for Rome’s Comedy Club. Keep checking this web site or get on my email list: romescomedyclub@gmail.com So, see you soon!

Til then, we are the Eternal laughs of this Eternal city!

AMAZING April show!

It was one of the most exciting nights for Rome’s Comedy Club. Audience was packed with half oldies and half newbies. What was exciting is to see that there was an increase in Italians. I think our article, thanks to Natalia has opened our audience to not only ex-pats but Italians as well!!!

We had an awesome line up. We welcomed to the stage three new comedians, Kissy Dugan, Paul Salamone who flew in from Berlin to be with us and Rocky. Kissy looks cute and petite but you get her up on a stage and she kicks some comedy ass!!!! Paul was ever so clever and funny with his comedy experience living in Berlin.

Even our usual comics did great, like Michael Monkhouse and Kevin Mahoney. Ryan Costello had his second go at stand up and did he rock the house!!! BUT surely Virgina will forever be quoted with her “pussy ubrica” piece.

It was amazing to see people leaving the venue still laughing. The journalist, Natalia Distefano said that she has not had this much fun in a long time and will be back next month.

So folks those who came this time, see ya next time…those who missed it, see ya in May!

We made it into Corriere della Sera:)

March 30th was certainly full of surprises. Michael Monkhouse rocked the house as our MC. Virgina Apicella did a great job in telling us her tale of growing up like the ‘Green Giant’. Ryan Costello’s first attempt at stand up was a huge hit! But nothing shocked the audience more as Vlad retold his sexual scene in a theater show he did and Thom Bevan appearing in his goggles and smoking a cigerette on stage as he told his comedy piece! Never a dull moment at a Rome’s Comedy Club’s show!

Shit expats say in Rome

Amazing show on the 24th of February. Terianne hosted the show with her New York attitude. She especially has fun with an audience member named, Alan who could not get enough of joining the comedy fun. It was a packed house filled with gracious folks. Rome’s Comedy Club was happy to welcome back Ayse Agar, Michael Monkhouse and Thom Bevan and even more excited to welcome for the first time Verbo Volante IMPROV group and The Chartons! A shout out to the new staff of GrottaPinta, who are so great to work with!

See ya next month, March 30th for a whole new show!!!

Directed and filmed by Marco Vallini

Starring: Salvatore Pucci, Michael Monkhouse, Louise Vinciguerra and Marsha De Salvatore

Rome’s Comedy Club will be seeing you in 2012

We had a wonderful last show of 2011. Ryan Cofrancesco did a great job MCing and introducing our line up of mostly new performers. We had Jeff Woods who looks like a sweet American college kid but shocked the audience with his racy takes on living in Rome. We are proud to have seen Thom Bevan grow into such a strong and funny performer. He did a great job telling us his rediscovery of nature. We also welcomed back Micheal Monkhouse who has been a regular with Rome’s Comedy Club. He always leaves the audience laughing to his dark humor. Ayse Agar wanted to hide in the dark because of her nerves on stage but quickly conquered them and did a fabulous job recounting her Turkish interview nightmares! The ladies of Rome’s Comedy Club did a piece as well, Steph talking about her hardships living in Italy and Marsha about her families Thanksgiving.

If you missed out on this show…have no fear because we will be BACK next year!! Stay tuned and happy holidays!!!
